Rick is truly the real thing as a handyman, professional but yet friendly. He hung two bike racks, and a 14 foot ladder in the garage. In the kitchen he repaired two drawers. Also, did some stucco work? Great price and prompt. I would definitely recommend him again. Esther W.
I just had a fence installation/repair done through Thumbtack. Terry was the one that I trusted to handle this. I had odd hours and Terry was able to assess the repair and schedule a time that worked best for us. His quote was great and his work was better. I wished I had more work that needed done after seeing the finished job. Welder's 1st Choice will always get my business in regards to welding needs.
Outstanding experience will pick him for all my future work. installed a fence and gate at half the price of fence and gate specialist but looks better then most of the neighborhood.
We hired them to install our composite fence installation and they did an excellent job!!
Great experience for my fence !
I had a child safety fence installed at my pool. Barry did a fantastic job, he took his time to teach me , and did what he said. First class guy.
WVMM was hired to install two ceiling fans in our patio ceiling. Built into the back of the house, the patio has a hip roof with a wall board ceiling. There was a plated outlet in the center of the ceiling with switched power. The basic job was two install the two fans evenly spaced hitting the 1/3 spots in the ceiling using the already existing power. After checking things out, they were off to the hardware store to get the appropriate hardware. Work started immediately upon return. As with all modifications to existing structures, you cannot know for sure what you will find until you open the walls. So not everything was as it appeared from checking out the clues on the visible ceiling. One of the interesting problems: Behind one of the wall board seams where there should have been a stud there was a 24" gap of open attic, so the ceiling had to be opened to install a cross beam between rafters to provide a support mount for the fan. There were a few other surprises that made one wonder how the house passed inspection when it was built 15 years ago. In the end the fans worked fine, the work was quality, and the wallboard ceiling was repaired so you could not tell it had been opened. The pair doing the work knew the work required and were friendly and personable. Turns I had some background in common with one of them. My only criticism would be that occasionally they were a bit disorganized, such as: making multiple trips to the truck to get the occasional tool or electrical part instead of having their tools set and hardware on a cart; or, getting partway though a task and having to back up because they realized they missed a step. Hence, I gave them only a good rating instead of excellent.
He came over to give me a quote on his day off for sprinkler repair and quoted me well under his competitor. He kept me in the loop on the progress and the job was completed as requested. I will use him again for future landscaping projects.
My wife and I hired Danny for granite countertops for our kitchen and bathrooms. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of his work and price. He was very professional, reliable and most of all honest. Danny went above and beyond our expectations. He would go out of his way by accompanying us to Home Depot and introduced us to granite suppliers. We were so happy with Danny we decided to hire him to complete other handy work jobs for our property. He did our plumming, electrical work, blinds and wall repairs. One thing that stood out the most about Danny was that he cared about our needs. He would work super late to make sure we meet our deadlines and he always worked around our schedule. We highly recommend Danny and will absolutely use him again for all our properties. Two thumbs up!
I had a damaged block wall in need of repair. Robert and his crew showed up at the time he said he would be here. They did everything that he estimated and cleaned up afterwards. Robert is very hands on and I have no problem recommending him in the future. I look forward to hiring him again in the future.

I had a number of projects around my new house that I needed help with and found Jeremy Bertrand of Knight Carpentry & Construction through Thumbtack. Jeremy was absolutely wonderful. He accomplished everything from moving curtain rods that had been hung in the wrong place to repairing walls with anchors left in them to installing a dimmer switch and bathroom fixtures. He was extremely punctual, polite and a perfectionist in his work. He's also very experienced in home building and remodeling and able to do all types of repairs and remodeling in the home. I highly recommend him.
Jamie went above and beyond to complete the job. He worked very hard and made sure every little detail was done. I would hire him again. Mike Biehn Summerlin, NV
I just had Nelson repair my outdoor security lights. He did a fabulous job - it was not an easy repair and he was thorough, efficient, and after troubleshooting gave me options on how best to proceed. Nelson will be my only call from now on for all things electric!
