What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Computers and software change almost daily. And a good tech will spend hours each week just keeping up on what's new.
In addition most good techs will re-new or get new certifications every few years.
On top of all this I am a beta tester for many products so that I'll know how to use them years before most customers ever have the chance to hear about them.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of work I get hired for are data recovery and virus removal.
Next in line would be system upgrades and new system setups.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your homework first. Most are just looking for "anybody" to get their system fixed as fast as they can. But many will take advantage of that fact. Call your family and friends and ask who they use. After you get a few names check them out (BBB, Reviews, Local Business Licences) to make sure they will do a good job for you.
