FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
It is required I do continuing education to keep my license, but it is fun! There are all sorts of massage classes. My most recent was Myo-facial release technique (sounds exciting, I know) But really, it helped me know more about the body and the best ways to help it destress.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I wanted to learn something new. I thought massage therapy would be a more relaxing form of work. Little did I know it is a workout. But I ended up loving it! It's interesting and there is always something new to learn and different directions to take.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Shop around. If you can't afford someone rate, ask to negotiate price. Most therapist will work with your budget. Also you don't have to stick with just one therapist. We don't get offended if our massage wasn't "the one." Everyone is different, we understand completely.
