- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We discuss what they are looking for with their photography needs first. Then we create a plan. Location, date, time, wardrobe if needed, and other specific details. during the shoot, if it is an event such as a wedding, I seamlessly capture all the requested shots and more! Constantly tuned into the couple and the story of their wedding day. With portraiture, I create a comfortable and stress free environment so the best of each person can be photographed. I consistently hear from my clients how much fun the shoot was and how surprisingly easy it turned lout to be when they were so nervous at the thought of being photographed. With families, I like to capture the more standard 'formal-ish' shots and then have spontaneous, fun, playful shots as well. Animals are wonderful to photograph, anytime, anywhere!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was raised by a photographer and was in the studio or on location learning light and composition my entire childhood. It was second nature by the time I became a young adult. I traveled Europe and Japan shooting before setting up studios in both SF and LA for many years.
