FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We don't have a standard pricing system per se. We prefer to take into account details such as number of images desired, duration of jobs, time required in post-processing images, travel or transportation needs and final medium of the finished images unique to each job or project. We take all of this into account before coming to a price that fits each job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Though Thumbtack is good for connecting with new clients, where it lacks is in asking us to provide a quote before communicating about the specifics of a project. All initial quotes are just an estimate. We would like to briefly communicate with new clients regarding their desired images and final pictures before offering a concrete quote. Our goal is to ensure that clients are satisfied with the final products, so we try to be clear about abilities, editing and return timelines, and payment methods and details before finding a price that works well for each individual project.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
With a background in photojournalism and outdoor recreation photography, over time our clients have come to include daily and weekly newspapers, magazines, bars and restaurants, event organizers, musical recording artists, retail businesses, magazines, and for land and horse owners. Our projects have included images shot to reflect their ultimate use in personal photo books, social media and digital marketing campaigns, branding and online advertising, print newspaper and magazine, online newsletter and event follow-ups, and recording artist products.
