Music lessons with Philip

I love music in all it's variety. It's a beautiful thing to enrich our lives and accompanying my students on their individual, musical journey is something that I find highly rewarding. When working with you, I will take my time and deeply care about your progress. To give you an idea of what sessions can look like, I'm happy to offer you a consultation session, free of charge. I've been working in the field for nearly two decades, both as a performing artist and as a music instructor, and I'm happy to provide highly professional lessons tailored to you and your goals. My students come from various countries with a brought span of different social backgrounds and ages. Some of them are striving for professional careers in music, others are simply enjoying the process of gaining skill on the instrument. A few words about myself: Hi, I'm Philip. I've been a musician all my life. My personal journey started with the young age of 7 on the classical guitar. Over the years I've been exploring all kinds of musical styles from Rock/Pop to Blues, Gypsy music, Country and Jazz, leading up to my music and pedagogy studies in Germany. I finished my masters degree with distinction and became a professor at the university of music in Nuremberg, Germany at the age of 26. After several international collaborations, I relocated to New York City in 2016. I performed with my projects and original compositions at esteemed music venues all across the city, including Blue Note, Cornelia Street Cafe, Club Bonafide, Rockwood Music Hall, City Vineyard, Cafe Bohemia, German Consulate General NYC and more. I toured Europe extensively with my own projects and participated in theater productions and musicals for the Landestheater Coburg and the Nuremberg Opera House. Moreover, I performed with chamber music ensembles of the Bamberg Philharmonic and the Radio Symphony Orchestra of Bavaria. ​
