About
I am classically-trained pianist with eighteen years of teaching experience. My studio aims to provide outstanding piano and music instruction in an environment that encourages personal achievement. Lessons are available to students of all ages and levels and include preparation for recitals, competitions and exams.
Students are taught to develop all aspects of good musicianship: repertoire, technique, stylistic awareness and listening skills and and to acquire knowledge of theory and music history.
Performance opportunities include annual student recitals and events sponsored by local piano teacher organizations.

I'm so glad I found Mirna on Thumbtack. I am an adult intermediate piano student and Mirna is particularly skilled at knowing how to relate to adult students. She's patiient, passionate about teaching, and evey lesson is a revelation. Plus, I'm finally making real progress.

She is great, patient, but firm and knows how to motivate her students, even when they feel demotivated. I would definitely recommend her. My daughter has been taking piano lessons with her for years. Mirna prepared her for the Assessment exams at Royal Conservatory Music Development Assessment Program and my daughter passed with flying colors.

Mirna is not only a great pianist, but also a talented teacher. She is always patient and cheerful during my lessons. Most importantly, she has a knack for explaining not only the musical, but also the historical context of my pieces. This helps me to understand not only the how, but also the why, to interpret music in a thoughtful and interesting way.
