We hired George to do a total bathroom remodel. After getting estimates from two other contractors that were not within our budget, George was able to accommodate our limitations without compromising the quality of work or materials used. Though the bathroom is small, George was able to make suggestions that maximized the available square footage so that it feels and looks more spacious. Beyond consideration of cost and quality of work we also feel very strongly about being able to trust a contractor in our home. There was never any question with George. We did not have to stand over and watch him and had no qualms about leaving him alone in our home when we had to run errands. As with most contracting experiences, there were delays beyond George's control so the job did take a little longer than expected but we are very happy with the finished product and with our overall experience.

S & T did a beautiful job! They sent before and after photos to the absentee owner to keep her in the loop, and she was delighted with the transformation in every room. Although S & T lists for painting, they do general contracting and were able to do all of my projects, not just the painting, which made the whole undertaking much simpler than if I'd had to coordinate multiple contractors. Scott and Traci really listen to the person with whom they are working and are responsive to all needs. They are also very personable and a pleasure to work with. I recommend them highly for painting and any other general contracting.

I have never had such a professional in my home or worked next to one in the field. They were on time, accurate and clean. Very personable and honored their estimated price. I have had Evanco Construction, LLC at our home for several other repairs! I recommend them to anyone who wants a fair, honest and highly skilled contractor.

After a slightly rocky start (miscommunication) the job got done and done well. Its not easy fitting 21st century doors in a 19th century space. I needed someone with specific door experience and I was not disappointed.

Justin and Joshua build an entranceway into my basement and did an excellent job! I'm very pleased with their work and professionalism. I would recommend them to anyone. They were clean and finished the job in the time frame bid. Their honesty goes a long way for a dependable contractor in the area.

My company has been doing business with First General for over 20 years. We have used both their fire restoration service as well as their snow plowing service. They are quick to respond to our needs. Recently after the large amount of snow they went the extra mile in bringing in trucks to haul away the snow to keep the parking lot clear. I would recommend this company and will continue to use them for snow removal and fire damage restoration. Coetta Carr R&M Management

Duane and Brian Serfass and their partner Ryan Sawicki took on a major rebuild of our 2 car garage with attached 8x16 storage shed. Other contractors wanted to tear down the building and concrete floor & footer and rebuild from a new footer. Better Life Home Improvements jacked up each side of the garage and reformed the concrete footer, installed new 6"x6" sill beams on entire perimeter. This required separating the shed from the garage at the floor joists and later reattaching. They re-leveled the building, rebuilt the header over the garage doors as well as the front vertical supports, and installed two new doors. They also extended the length of the door openers. They stayed on the job everyday until the work was done in a timely fashion! Their fees are reasonable and they did the quality job for a fraction of the cost of building a new garage/shed. This company addresses all your concerns and they care very much about the finished product and the satisfaction of the customer. We highly recommend this company for any project they are willing to engage in! We would be willing to answer any questions or concerns potential customers may have. Thanks to Better Life Home Improvements!! John and Mary Landis

Mr Dietz seems like a fine young family man. I regret not having asked more questions up front but also wish he, as the professional, would have been more forthcoming with details that I didn’t know to ask. For example, the transition strips used are made of pine and in need of staining and poly which is on me to do. I’ve never dealt with tile before and now realize it’s an expensive and a dirty job. I was under the impression that Stewart would be on the job in its entirety but that wasn’t the case. I’m satisfied with the job except for the fact that some of the tiles that were used already had chips in them. Also, his workers smoke , so as the world worst reformed smoker, having butts in my yard to pick up after was not fun. There were grout issues but they were corrected swiftly.
