I have a 3-story townhouse in Brooklyn, with an apartment on 2nd and 3rd level. The first floor was what I called the basement; however, it is street level, not in the ground. It housed the exposed boiler, water heater, washer and dryer, and many years of accumulated stuff! The space was raw (brick walls) dark and damp. The back part of the "basement" is the garage, with more stuff! I finally decided to get a quote to make the space a living space. I searched the internet and came across this service called Thumbtack, a resource for contractors. I had a few companies give me quotes; however, I was mostly impressed by George and Marcos at Dkai. They came by and listened closely, as I described my dream space. They shared their professional opinion and also gave me some great ideas. Shortly after, we came to an agreement and started the work promptly on the agreed date. There were hurdles! Thank goodness for Dkai's patience! My house is 115 years old and as anticipated there were additional problems with the house that needed to be addressed. They were legitimate issues, and of course, had to be added to the quote. It was something that I budgeted for considering the age of my home. The Dkai team were easy to work with and very serious about their work. It took a few months to complete the job, just in time for the Holidays. I love the outcome! If you saw the space before, you would never think it could be transformed into such a beautiful space. It's my new hang-out spot and also serves as a private space for my guest to spend a few days. I was very happy with the end results and very happy that I chose Dkai as my contractors.

George was a professional from the very 1st interaction. His crew did an amazing job remodeling my shower. They are familiar with co-op policies which was a big plus. We had a couple of meetings before beginning the work and discussed various options/strategies. Very happy with the job. I will definitely hire them for future renovations!

Excellence start to finish. George & Marcos understand the interworkings of the project at hand, and implemented the right set of skilled laborers to bring it all home. My project in particular was a finished attic, which had many logistical challenges, which were met with the right degree of creativity and diligence. Would hire again!
