Monique is very professional, knowledgeable, and energetic. My kids love working with her and look forward to their sessions. She makes learning fun by utilizing interactive games, songs, and dance. Her experience working with a large range of elementary grade levels and various subjects makes her very valuable. She critiques her curriculum to cater to the needs of each of her students (this includes matching the curriculum/teaching method at their school). Monique gives regular updates so you're well aware of the progress being made. I would highly recommend her.

Ms. Monique is an excellent tutor. From the first meeting, it was professional and I knew this was the tutor I was going to choose. I have not regretted my decision since. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $75 per hour. I strongly recommend individual sessions at least 2x per week for struggling learners. In my experience, your child will thrive and look forward to our sessions!
Also, I provide package deals as well.
My credentials and experience have shown that this is a very reasonable rate to charge.
I am able to find out what areas your child struggles with and close the gap in that area.
If you are looking for the quickest and most effective solution available with a top-notch certified teacher, I am the best option.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I start with assessing your child to find out where the gaps are.
Then I chat with the parent to let him/her know what I noticed.
Third, I comes up with a customized plan for your child that will close the gap quickly for him or her.
And then I meet with your child weekly.
Every 3 months I reassesses your child to find out what gains your child has made. Then I change the instruction to continue to close the gap.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am Monique the UNIQUE online reading tutor and I have worked with 100's of students with closing the reading gap. I have been a classroom teacher for over 10 years. I received my master's in childhood education (1st-6th grade).
Although I teach all subjects, reading has become one of my favorite topics to teach because When I was in third grade, I was a struggling reader. So now, as an educator it feels great to support struggling readers and give them a gift that will outlast me - the ability to read.
