Introduction: I was inspired to build my own tutoring service after being frustrated by the impersonal approach of many large tutoring companies and after seeing my intelligent and passionate younger brother struggle immensely with the standardized testing system and the college admissions process. I believe that tutoring requires a holistic, individualized approach to the individual student. Given that my passions have always been interdisciplinary, and I am accustomed to thinking creatively about work and life; I felt that I could fill a gap for students who have great potential but just need a bit of creative outside help and encouragement on their team. My services run the gamut from SAT prep to college admissions assistance, critical thinking and writing skills, math, history, literature, drama, government, general homework help, Spanish (I received my proficiency certification at Georgetown after a semester abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina), resumes/cover letters and more, tailored to the individual student's needs. I graduated cum laude from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Foreign Service and an award in interdisciplinary excellence from the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies. During my time at Georgetown, I was an active member of the departmental and co-curricular theater programs as an actor, director and designer, and I served as the associate producer of the Mask and Bauble Dramatic Society in its 161st season. I also served as a project ambassador with the One World Youth Project, teaching a self-designed curriculum on global awareness and sustainability to an AP Spanish classroom in Columbia Heights, Washington DC. I now reside in Brooklyn, NY pursuing a career as an actor and director with aspirations of working professionally domestically and abroad and designing cultural programs in post-conflict and developing communities around the world. In high school, I was a National Merit Finalist, AP Scholar with Distinction and active member of the chorus, musical productions, yearbook staff and soccer team. I earned top scores on my SAT examinations, and I have firsthand experience navigating the trials and tribulations of applying to the nation's top colleges in this day and age.
