If you're contemplating booking this experience, think no further and just pull the trigger. You will not regret it at all! I booked a cooking experience with Danielle for my 24th birthday and I couldn't have asked for a better experience or night. It was sooo much fun! First of all, the space that we cooked in was a cross between comfort/cozy and chic NYC loft pad. The place was spacious and airy and was perfect for us to spread out, get comfortable and most importantly socially distance. When we first walked in, we were greeted by a very happy and welcoming Danielle and ushered into the kitchen where our ingredients were laid out beautifully and organized into stations for prepping the meal. As the night progressed, we sipped on some amazing rum punch, engaged in light hearted conversation and learned a lot of information about the history of the meal we were creating, different names for the ingredients being used and ways to cut down on cooking time. This felt less like a class and more like a group of friends gathered together to cook and eat. Considering that the experience is BYOB, toward the end of the night we were a little woozy lol but Danielle was great at directing us without feeling overbearing or bossy. She was hospitable, kind, and answered all of our questions all night. I realize that I haven't even gotten to the food because the experience alone was outstanding. But, the food? Aww man. The BEST rasta pasta I've ever had in my life and that's saying a lot coming from a Caribbean NYC resident! We were all able to take home leftovers and I was luckily able to share some with my family when I got home and my brother has been begging me to make this pasta ever since. I definitely plan on it! I'm going to tell everyone I know to book with Danielle either for a cooking class or for catering (because she does both). I also highly recommend ordering her spices because her homemade mango salsa was *chefs kiss.* I hope this review convinces you to book her because everyone should experience this at least once. Thank you Danielle!
