- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on the event, hours needed, equipment needed and location of event. Multi-day events can be booked at better rates. Events paid in full in advance MAY get a better rate. Weekday events may get better rates than weekends. Rates are not set in stone and can be changed but will never be changed if an amount is already agreed upon. Please inquire directly with additional concerns.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Speaking by phone is the best way to introduce DJ for hire services. Meeting in person is never needed; in the 40+ events booked previously on Thumbtack, not one client asked to meet in person. Once we have spoken, potential clients immediately pay a deposit to secure their date. They may also email playlist requests and other information about their event. The process is very simple and straight forward.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a professional DJ for over 30 years. I have played for every kind of crowd with just about every kind of configuration. Short hours, longer hours, local or long distance. With a full sound system or just a laptop, I have literally played for endless kinds of events. I also attend 3 annual conferences pertaining to the betterment of my mobile DJ business. It has helped me in selecting better speakers, music and even client etiquette.
