I love photographing people in love. My goal is, always, to capture moments in time, as they unfold, and that reflect who you are as a couple.  I would describe my photography style as raw, honest, moody, ethereal & adventurous. When working together, I want to make sure that you're surrounded by what you love- whether that means at your home, in a forest, on the beach, or in the middle of the city. If you need a little help planning an engagement session, I am very happy to recommend and help you select a location. I love to shoot during overcast days (amazing for skin tones) and during sunrise and sunset, when lighting is best. I'm not shy to adventure, so if our shoot takes us out of the city, climbing a mountain or down into a ravine, I'll be up for it. Most importantly, I'm here to document your love, so don't hold anything back! Forget about the "photo-shoot" aspect, share your emotions with me and embrace the spontaneous moments with your loved one. Some of the best photos I've taken are of couples cracking up over being helplessly tossed around by the wind. An intimate interaction between you, a gesture that shows the authenticity of your relationship or straight up raw emotion can come through in a photo in the most breathtaking way. If you aren't so comfortable in front of the camera, no problem, I totally get it. I will give you cues and direction, and photograph what happens naturally as you respond and react, to me and to each other. No matter what, enjoy the imperfect moments and remember, the best photos are those where you show me your quirks, and make each other laugh uncontrollably.  FAQ Q: What should we wear for our engagement session? Is there anything we should avoid? A: I always recommend tailoring your color choices to your skin tone, eye and hair color. Wear the color that looks best on you.  I suggest coordinating colors and patterns together, for example, if one of you has chosen to wear a print/pattern, than the other should choose a solid. Hats, accessories and layers are great for adding diversity to your images. Feel free to keep it casual, or glam it up in formal wear, whatever makes you feel confident. Q: What time of day is best for photography? A: I prefer to shoot within two hours of sunrise or sunset when lighting is soft, and best for skin tones.  The best light, in my opinion, is the beautiful golden glow right before the sun dips beyond the horizon- it really does make everyone look good.
