FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fees include service and digital files. If I require an assistant or your location is not easily accessible via MTA, travel fees, assistant’s fees might be required. Hard copies of any type incur sales tax so it saves you money to get that portion charged separately.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I try to schedule a call just to say hi and see if I can meet their needs. Once that is done I request they fill out a contact form from my website. This information is used to create a contract to ensure we are all on the same page as far as logistics, and expectations. During the photo session, it takes a few minutes to adjust settings for lighting and during that time I’ll let you know you can relax and I am focusing on the light. Once that is set, It depends if it’s two people or one. If it’s a couple, I would love natural interaction. I will direct some form of activity to try to get some natural candid shots. I also have some posed shots that I will direct that are standard. If it’s just one person, I would love to help you feel less aware of the camera. During the course, if it’s possible, I’d love to get to know my clients better.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My start was a real life wedding, and then I did intensive training with various nyc photography schools. Some highlights include workshops with Susan Strippling and Ryan Schembri, Pete Lott. I also had the opportunity to assist seasoned professionals in weddings and engagement shoots. This was tremendous help when I ventured in my own.
