FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I normally charge by the hour however can offer flat rates for longer projects. First time clients are required to leave a deposit towards there first session to complete booking.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to first get a sense of who my clients are before meeting and will reach out via phone and may even ask for a picture beforehand. I will ask about my clients current style, what their style goals are and if they have any specific ideas in mind, for instance if they have a style icon or someone they admire in mind. I'm very passionate about bringing out my clients self-confidence and creating looks that speak to their character. While I want to typically bring my clients out of their comfort zone, I pride myself in not losing them as individuals and prescribing to cookie cutter fashion. Instead I embrace their own uniquenesses. Changing your wardrobe and image warrants instant gratification. I believe this is the basis of the beginning of an on-going transformation. Hence the company's name Dirty Werk. Through our network, the process of your journey continues by doing the necessary additional work yourselves. Through our network we continue to inspire and engage you with items we may love, books we're reading, interesting or inspirational podcast we listen to or Ted Talks we're watching, restaurants and places we'd loved or want to visit, meditation techniques, mantras, healthy eating, exercise and more. Lastly, I offer virtual assisting so you don't ever have to feel lost of stumped when trying to figure out a look.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Although I have not studied or train in fashion particularly (my background is in legal), from an early age I was fascinated with the different ways of expressing oneself and transforming through fashion and clothes. I began helping close friends and family members, even assisting professional friends in the industry on photo shoots and commercials and sometimes lending pieces from my own closet to create and capture specific looks. Though passionate about clothes and transformations I knew I did not want to work particularly in the industry side of things. My passion was working with ordinary people where I would be able to impact lives, for me, seemingly on a grander scheme.
