About
My name is Valeria Picerno. I am a New York based personal stylist and certified image consultant working with both men and women.
I was born and raised in Milan, Italy where I grew up working in the fashion industry. When I moved to New York, I started working in film as a costume designer as a way to better understand how clothes influence the perception that we have of characters, and apply the same methods to my individual clients.
I love helping people discovering their authentic style, and see the increased confidence and success that come with it, whether is for business, social or romantic purposes.
My experience in film taught me how to dress people of all shapes and sizes, so I am confident I can help you get dressed too!

Valeria met me at my apartment. She was on time, very friendly
and well informed. We did the capsule style and was fun. Seeing my clothes getting a new life was priceless.
She listened to my needs and respected my concerns. She understood my curiosity in getting to know the process before going out for shopping. We will do it later. For now I cant wait to see what she will come up with after taking photos and pick up my colors.

I hired Valeria to help upgrade and simplify my wardrobe. She did that and more, she helped me to think about my clothes in a different way. She takes a lot of time to get to know and understand her clients and is very thorough and professional, as well as pleasant to work with. I now have some great, versatile pieces that I love and can do a lot with, and they were things I wouldn't have thought of for myself, but they work! I highly recommend Valeria and plan to bring her back to help me upgrade for fall/winter.

Valeria is one of a kind!
Her knowledge of the NYC mens clothing shop and boutiques is amazing. She had the whole trip planned ( 3 days) and made sure we saw all the best the city had to offer.
Shes easy to get along with and me and my brother would definately use her again if we decide to shop in NYC.

Valeria gave me a personal styling session that included an in depth interview about my personal goals and style objectives, analysis of coloring, wardrobe review, and styling of a number of professional outfits. She had great advice to offer based on the personal interview that we had, and was able to help me craft a look that matches the image that I wish to create. She is extremely detail oriented, and knowledgable about the effect of style details that never would have occurred to me. Valeria's elegant style and kind, insightful personality make her ideally suited to this kind of work... and we also had a lot of fun together. Highly recommended.

Valeria is highly talented, with an incredible eye for fit and proportion. She really opened my eyes to how clothing should fit me and empowered me to make my own purchase decisions with so much more confidence now that I have learned these skills. and friends and family have really noticed! I get so many compliments now, whereas in the past no one really noticed how I dressed. People also think I lost weight, but it is mainly due to my clothing fitting me so much better! She came to the table with no pre conceived idea of how I should dress, but really listened and observed how I live and what my needs are as an entrepreneur to craft solutions for me that really express and amplify who I am.
