Ari is an outstanding musician to begin with and his approach to teaching is very encouraging and supportive. Rather than just tell you that you did something wrong, he'll show you a better way to do it and explain why it's better. Rather than assigning hours of boring exercises that will make you hate your instrument, he'll teach you how to play songs that you love making you look forward to picking up your guitar and practicing. Ari is a great teacher for the complete beginner as well as an excellent resource for the seasoned professional.

Ari is a gifted instructor but more than that he is a complete and wonderful human. Beyond is mad teaching skills he has a way of relating to young people that keeps them interested and loving the guitar. My daughter loved working with him and was very sad when he moved from Oakland. Her skills vastly improved when she started working with Ari. Invest in him as a teacher and you won't be sorry.
