FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I keep pricing simple and fair. Most small jobs are billed hourly with a 2-hour minimum to cover travel and setup. Larger, clear projects can be a flat price so you know the total upfront. Any extra costs like materials or parking are discussed before I start. I sometimes offer discounts for seniors, repeat customers, and multi-day jobs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I ask you to describe the job and, if possible, send photos or a short video. I then recommend hourly or flat pricing and give you an estimate. On the day of the job I arrive on time, protect your space, do the work carefully, and clean up. Before I leave we walk through everything together to be sure you’re happy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 40 years in carpentry, furniture making, construction, home repairs, and painting. Before moving to the U.S., I ran my own carpentry and furniture-making business for about 35 years and built two five-bedroom concrete homes from the ground up. Most of my training is hands-on, working with experienced craftsmen and doing the work every day.
