Are you looking to create the home of your dreams but are too scared to pull the trigger because your budget stops you? My name is Lisa Dunefsky and for the past 13 years I have worked as a Home Stager and Interior Decorator in Westchester, Brooklyn and NYC. Some common themes that I have encountered over the years were clients wanting to make home improvements, but either felt overwhelmed by all of the options out there, they weren't quite sure what their design style was or they just didn't think they had the budget to do so. Do any of those sound familiar? What I end up seeing over and over are clients that have lived in their 'as is' stage for years until they are finally fed up and can't take it anymore. I get it, not everyone can afford to have a Restoration Hardware home including me, (insert your Pinterest dream space here) but with my design expertise and sleuthing skills, I can help you create your dream space. Whether your taste is contemporary/modern or you are more boho/rustic, I can help you create a space that feels authentically you! DBL Take Design is an online and in-person boutique design firm. Whether you live in a 250sf studio, a 2500 duplex or a 5000sf home or maybe something in between, I can help you make sense of it all. Finding an interior decorator is a lot like dating. You speak to a bunch of people and eventually decide to roll the dice and commit. You hope it works out because you are going to be working closely together for a while. I lucked out. Lisa was a perfect match for me and my project. She was very collaborative, but direct when she needed to be. Her instincts are great. She is very thorough and did a fantastic job keeping the project on budget so you don't have to worry about any of the details. She is reliable, trustworthy and hard working. She cares about you and the project. My apartment looks great. We added a lot of personal touches and did so on a modest budget. In fact, Lisa finds every way she can to save you money so she more than pays for herself. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a highly collaborative and patient design parter!

I highly recommend Dunefsky Design Inc. for your home renovation project! Why? I recently purchased a 1 bedroom that required gut renovation. I had a vision, but didn't know where to start or whom to trust. My broker and dear friend raved about and recommended that I look into Dunefsky Design Inc. I did. I searched for hours and compared Lisa Dunefsky's work with other designers & contractors. I decided to take my friend's advice just because she shares my taste & style with interior design concepts. I hired Lisa Dunefsky, who tweaked my ideas and made the end result a perfect realized dream that looks high-end and was very affordable to attain! Lisa (very patiently) listened to me. She understood me and what I expected from the from the customized built-in cabinets, kitchen, bathroom, etc., etc., etc.! I was all over the place, but Lisa gently reminded me how to remain focused on my goal. Lisa also kept me on track with my desired budget--there were no financial surprises at any time during the renovation process. The anticipated timeline for the work was accurate, too. Lisa Dunefsky is reliable, accessible, and professional on every level. When I met her at the site, I appreciated how she interacted with the contractor and followed up with details that I didn't speak up about--even when I should have mentioned a question or concern on the spot. It's as if Lisa read my mind. Those were the times that I became convinced that Lisa honestly treated my vision with sensitivity and passion. I was her priority! Once the apartment was finished, it rented out a day or so after it was listed, to someone within the building who is interested in purchasing the unit. Am I a satisfied customer? YES! You will be, too!

I am a big fan of Dunefsky Design for professional staging and interior design. Lisa is a pro! She really cares about the client and project; she works diligently to define a strategy and coordinate the team to successfully execute her design plan within budget. From initial concept to building approvals and contractor collaboration, she covers it all with grace. Brava Lisa!

Lisa is one of the most innovative and client service oriented professionals with whom I worked. She quickly assessed what was needed to transform my apartment. Her work ethic and style exceeded my expectations for quality and building a great client relationship. Her response time is quick and very aligned to the customer needs.
