About
I ask all my students to write daily journal, which I use as the focus of our in-class discussions.
I find that keeping a journal is a particularly effective method of teaching language because it combines reading, writing, and speaking all in one.
I also try to tie in different aspects of Japanese culture and lifestyle into each class such as cuisine, music, art, etiquette, and current events to keep our classes fun and interesting!
Having learned a second language myself, I have deep appreciation for how challenging it can be, and therefore, I approach all my students with patience and sensitivity.

Junichi's a great tutor! I started learning Japanese from him only 5 months ago and have pretty much mastered the basics of Japanese grammar already. He is also genuinely concerned with the progress of his student, and is interested in teaching not just the language itself, but fun things about Japanese culture as well.
