- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to schedule a consultation first to determine what they need and to talk about design ideas. Then I schedule one day to come in and do the job as quickly as possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked for three high-end landscaping companies in Brooklyn and Manhattan, one garden center in Brooklyn, and taken classes in design, horticulture, and botany at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved plants and wanted to move away from office jobs so I started gardening in April 2015. After working for several companies over the last few years I decided to spend this summer doing freelance gardening and design work before going to graduate school this fall.
