Introduction: I am a professional chef that has cooked for about 9 years now. I gained my culinary arts degree through Kingsborough community college. I am both food and alcohol serv safe certified. I am also a licensed bartender. I currently run a personal chef business by the name of “Zoe’s kitchen” (“zo-s” not zoey). I provide catering, candlelight dinners, dinner parties, & brunches! I will also be providing meal prep soon too! For me cooking is my passion and my peace. I love getting in the kitchen and creating something no one has ever thought of before!

I dont think there are enough characters to describe my experience with Zoe’s Kitchen. The service was incredible! She totally understood the assignment and went beyond that. She decorated my home to the point that I couldnt recognize my dining room area. Rose Pedals, fine decor, polished utensils, candles all around! The complete experience! Food! The food was to die for! She makes an incredible signature 3 cheese macaroni pie that was easily the best thing I’ve ever ate. Steak was well seasoned. Salmon melted in your mouth! Dessert was a tasty Pastry that wasnt overly sweet. It was just right! Everything was more than I could ever fathom! I highly recommend Zoe’s Kitchen for all events!!

This is our first time to chose a personal chef for an occassion and Chef Marie made it unforgetable evening for us. First of all, her response and punctuality in scheduling a call or sensing messages during our pre planning days was amazing. Not even a single time she missed the call or messages. Very flexible with the menu itens and defenitely she has the quality to do all international cuisines. She was well prepared and pre planned for that day and all items have been cooked on time. Our menu selection was a mix of Indian and Italian dishes. She made all the dishes pretty neat and delicious. Even though i believe some of the Indian dishes she tried for the first time, but she absolutely nailed it!! Indian dessert- Rasamalai , she made it absolutely delicious.Then the italian pasta with grilled chicken was amazing and flavourful. The appetizer creamy chicken mushroom stuffed meat balls was top notch. She is really preparing the food with LOVE AND PASSION. She was very friendly and accomodative. Taking care of her clients request to the fullest without any compromise. She is open to cook any cuisines and takes all the clients request with full care. Wishing all the best for Zoes kitchen and Chef Marie to reach all the Heights!!! Defenitely i will recommend Chef Marie for your personal family gatherings or a couple date night.

Omg, I don’t know how much I can explain how great her cooking is!!! Me and my boyfriend wanted to do something for our anniversary and decided to do a private dinner and chose Zoe’s Kitchen. The food was the best thing there! It’s so hard to describe but all I can say is how delicious it was. I’d definitely go and buy food from her! The decorations are just so beautiful. It made me and my boyfriend enjoy the moment so much. It just brought up the event in the greatest way possible! I recommend everyone to order from her, you won’t regret it!!!

Chef Marie did an outstanding job in making Christmas special through her cuisine. Firstly, she is extremely professional and all around just nice person. She made deciding on a menu for Christmas easy. She provided a contract to set expectations and when I came to pick up everything it was packed with care. She made sure to surpass past my expectations by also decorating each tray with edible flowers and garnishes. This wasn’t even where she stopped because the flavor of each dish was blew me away! My family was so pleased with this experience and it allowed us to enjoy the day stress free. I will be back!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Everyone’s requests are different so therefore your price will be different. Thumbtack prices are not fully accurate for personal chefs. It really comes down to the amount of people and your menu but for a dinner for 3- course dinner for 2 is $650. Anything greater than 2 people will be charged per person depending on the amount of people. I do offer a 10% discount if you subscribe to my website when booking with me for the first time !
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically contact them through their phone and get on a call to discuss the details of their event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an associate degree in culinary arts. I’ve also worked a lot of restaurants and participated in restaurant association conventions. I also have my food safety and alcohol safety licenses.
