Abundant Learning

Abundant Learning, a community center in Dumbo Brooklyn, is offering homework academy, test preparation, and academic tutoring! Details on what we offer are: Homework Academy: Our homework academy, available after school from Monday through Friday, is a place where up to six students gain the structure and support of our head tutor, who checks in with students, ensures each is on task, and helps out as needed. Similar to a study hall, it is perfect for students who are able to work independently for periods of time, but who would benefit from the supervision of a tutor who has the ability to answer difficult questions and explain important concepts. A healthy snack is provided, as are fun activities if a student finishes early. (Ages 8-18) Test Preparation: We offer one-on-one tutoring for the SAT, ACT, SAT IIs, ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, Regents, Catholic school entrance exams, and even the GRE. Our tutors are experienced with these tests, as well as the local institutions that require them (in the cases of the local high school and middle school entrance exams). Academic Tutoring (Individual): We offer one-on-one tutoring in all subjects, from 4th grade through 12th. Private instruction is also available in creative writing, study skills, and other ‘outside-the-box’ subjects. Note: our tutors have experience tutoring children with learning differences.
