FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we receive a call or email from a potential client we determine the type of work they require, whether it's re-upholstering a sofa and love seat, or adding window treatments to some rooms. If they require a quote, we can supply an approximate figure as there are many variables to consider to complete a project. If the quote is within their budget we then have one of our designers contact the client so that she can ask specific questions, such as type of color and fabric they might be interested in. This helps the designer in choosing swatch books that meet these specifications most closely. She then sets up an appointment and meets with the customer. She can supply more accurate pricing and can advise the customer, should they need her help in choosing appropriate styles and fabric.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in this business for over 30 years and have earned my "degree" by learning from the best teachers in this business and in the experience I have obtained along the way.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My family has been in the decorating business for decades, so I guess you could say, it was inevitable for me to want to continue in the business.
