- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?My lessons are online via Google Hangouts. The first lesson is free. First, I interview the new student to find out their goals for their English. We'll do some basic exercises that I use to evaluate the student. If I think I can help, we schedule more lessons. From then on, I design and deliver custom lessons for the student to help them reach their goals. I use reading material that they will find interesting to build spoken and written exercises for them. My students progress in ways that are interesting to them and support their goals. They look forward to their lessons with me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am TEFL Certified, have a BA in English Literature and an MS in Hospitality Administration. Also, my father was British and I lived in England for a year while in high school. I might live in Boston, but I speak with very little accent of any kind. My small business organization service, McGuirk Management, helps professionals manage thier projects with efficiency. This has included work to improve my client's resumes. This demand has taken off recently and I will give more quotes for resumes here.
