I am a professional singer, songwriter, guitarist, and experienced music educator. I teach students how to unlock their creative expression through science-based vocal technique, guitar, and songwriting coaching. My style of teaching is highly personal, uniquely adapted to each student, and welcoming of all levels (there’s nothing I love more than the courageousness of a new student diving into making their voice heard!) My love of reading poetry and fiction is lifelong, and is the basis of my lyric-writing instruction. While at NYU, I performed regularly at storied songwriting venues such as The Bitter End, The Sidewalk Cafe, and Zinc Bar. After graduation, I studied harmony, music theory, voice, and guitar performance through private instruction with teachers such as Theo Bleckmann and Tal Yahalom. I have completed Levels I-III of Somatic Voicework(TM): The LoVetri Method. As a professional singer I have recorded 2 critically acclaimed albums and appear as a featured guest on other bandleaders’ compositions. I've toured in the US and Europe, and perform regularly in New York City with different bands and projects and venues like The Lincoln Center, Rockwood Music Hall, The Owl, and more. I am deeply passionate about singing and songwriting as an art form, and am so excited about sharing this beautiful craft with others.
