About
Years of hard work studying how to teach tennis most effectively so that students easily obtain high level results quickly without cutting corners... Have honed a series of easy progressive games that build your muscle memory for a state of the art game. And they are fun. Natural movement and racket head accelerations is emphasized. Many instructors use older methods that actually inhibit learning state of the art strokes. Some end game, jump over necessary developmental steps in effect end gaming creating less successful results. I emphasis interactively rallying many balls in a row instead of feeding balls. You learn better that way. Always looking to improve, I strive for excellence. A special skill I bring, that underlies all my lessons is a mastery of Tai Chi whose ideas I bring to tennis. The ancient Chinese knew much ! Slowly the worlds top tennis players are learning it too. Trained as an artist and have a very good diagnostic eye. I love the many wonderful people I get to meet teaching tennis ! Thank you !

Steve was able to explain thoroughly how to improve my tennis by being creative with his analogies and techniques. He is the type of person who makes sure that you get to feel the difference so you can correct your bad habits. I recommend him for anyone who needs a refresher or is new to tennis!

Steve is incredibly kind but I would never pay someone at his level to teach lessons, unless I was a beginner who had never held a racket. I asked him for tips and he didn’t have much to offer. He also struggled to keep up with our lesson. I won several points on him when we rallied. He didn’t challenge me at all. As kind as he was, he’s not the right fit for me and could not add value to my game. I’d restrict his activities to pure beginners.
