Introduction: Over and over again, my writing has been singled out for its clarity, naturalness, "voice," and when the situation calls for it, humor. More than once, I've been writing anonymously for a large-ish company and had the CEO or other senior management ask "Who IS that?!" I love the craftsmanship of it. Every type of writing, from captions to site copy to Google ads to essays to questionnaires, has hidden craft to it. The goal is usually to make for effortless reading.
