- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes. My fee is standard at $25/hr for relationship advising, and $250 for weddings. This includes the preparation of a custom ceremony, emails, phone calls the meeting before the wedding, and can include my presence at the rehearsal. I am aware that weddings can be costly and will consider negotiating my fee. However, if you live outside of the Buffalo area, please note that the pricing will increase but still remain affordable.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before selecting me as your officiant, I would ask that there be a consultation. There is no charge for this, but it has a high value to both of you, and especially to me. It's my belief that there be a connection between the three of us. I will communicate with you in order to assess your goals for the ceremony. I will find out if it is to be religious, or non-religious or what tradition it will follow. I will discuss whether you want to say your own vows and work out other details of the ceremony. During this meeting, we will discuss the particulars of the ceremony. You'll have an opportunity to ask questions and it will give me an opportunity to answer a few that you haven't thought of. We'll also discuss your expectations from me at the rehearsal (which is optional of course) and the wedding day. A partial down payment is accepted around the time of the consultation. Final payment can be made at the rehearsal or prior to the ceremony on your wedding day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to seminary at Regent University and I also attend conferences each year to stay abreast of what's going in ministry as it continues to evolve.
