This was our first and will be our last time using Escobar Landscapers. I was contacted by this company on a Monday, August 20th after requesting a quote for lawn care services. Noe contacted me via the platform and offered his services for $30. My husband and I usually do the lawn, but wanted to take a break, so I opted to try this company and accept Noe's offer. Noe agreed to arrive on Tuesday, Aug. 21st around 9/9:30 a.m. to begin. I agreed and informed my husband who was going to be home to thankfully monitor the work being done. Noe was punctual and arrived around 8:59 a.m. and had no other workers with him. I often do the lawn either with my husband or by myself, but it was awkward for a professional lawn service who usually work in 2 man teams. Before coming home from work my husband called to inform me that I wouldn't be happy about the lawn or our walkways. He was right.
Here is my assessment of the work itself:
I was extremely disappointed with the work that was done on the lawn. The grass was cut way too low to the point where you can see dirt, the edging was uneven, and the walkways were heavily stained. Additionally, my white car, back porch, and bistro table had grass clippings all over them. There were also clumps and piles of wet and dry grass clippings left on the lawn. When I spoke to my husband he informed me that Noe didn't provide a lawn consultation before starting the work (where he could have properly assessed the state of the lawn), disagreed that he was cutting the grass too low after my husband brought it to his attention, and had to be asked to clean up the walkway stains and grass clipping (which were still there when I arrived home hours later). At one point, my husband indicated that Noe left in the middle of the job and went to Home Depot to get items to attempt to clean some of the walkways, indicating a further lack of preparation and the proper tools necessary to complete the job. My husband further informed me that not much of anything else was said to him about the job being completed before Noe left yesterday, close to 3:30pm. The lawn was butchered and there were weeds directly around the perimeter of the house that were not mowed. The job took way too long to complete for such poor service. Had the job been done well, I may not have overlooked the length of time taken to complete it. I had to come home from work, change my clothes and my husband and I re-edge the lawn, raked and bagged the piles of grass clippings left on the lawn as much as we could before it started to rain, and even put down more grass seed where Noe's lawn mower gutted the lawn down to the dirt. My husband or I usually mow and edge the lawn and it takes about 2-3 hours, but we were tired and looking for a lawn care service to give ourselves a break. Unfortunately, I chose the wrong company and he won't let me hear the end of it. Noe did send an apology message about the walkways before I responded about his work. We have attached pictures of what the lawn and walkways looked like after I returned home. For the above-mentioned reasons we would not recommend the lawn care services of Escobar Landscapers.
