My husband and I are big 80s music fans and at the time we planned our wedding, DJ NIcky Wood hosted a very entertaining 80s specialty radio show on a local station. We knew that having him DJ our wedding would be a blast. Once we met with him the first time, we instantly felt a connection. Nicky is an incredibly genuine, fun guy who truly cared about getting every detail rightf. We were thrilled (and relieved) to learn that Nicky does not make a regular practice of playing the Chicken Dance, the Macarena, etc., which the run of the mill DJs assume everyone wants. Nicky is anything BUT run of the mill. Hire him for your special occasion and you will be treated to a charming, professional and caring person who strives to make your day one you will never forget.

Nicky Wood was the greatest wedding DJ ever!! I heard my guests commenting that he was a cut above the rest and he made my husband, who can be quite critical of peoples music selections, very happy!! Our guests were on the dance floor ALL night. My mom, whos usually very shy, said she didnt think she left the dance floor for more than 5 minutes after dinner was over. He had great suggestions for cake cutting and bouquet toss that really fit us, and made people smile, and he included all our requested songs at just the right moments. We had some really special romantic moments, and mostly fun, high-energy dancing like we wanted. He had people from ages 3-84 dancing non-stop!! It was a feat. My grandma isnt able to move well, but she even wandered to the corner of the dance floor for a song she loved and bopped up and down with her walker. It made my night to see that. He did some of his own remixes that were really great work, and he also cut the father-daughter dance to the length we wanted it with no glitches. His assistant was also so much fun that my single uncle developed a little crush on her, and she was great at keeping me on track for announcements, cake cutting, and other stuff I had to do. As an added bonus, Nicky has a wonderful accent that makes his announcements extra special. I would completely recommend Nicky for your wedding! Mine would not have been the same without him. Thank you, Nicky, for the great conversation leading up to the wedding, and the unbelievably amazing music the night of. You made our party so great, I dont think I stopped laughing the entire night. It was everything we could have asked for, and we are very lucky we had you.

Nicky came recommended to us by our venue (The Fountainbleau Inn, Alpine, NY) where we had our reception and we took it, SO glad that we did!! We reached out to Nicky to see if he was available for the date and he was....he then sent us his packet and we set a date to meet him! We brought our Daughter Ava with us and she just clicked with Nicky. He has a very loving, warm aura about him which makes it perfect for your DJ at a wedding (or any event for that matter). We hit it off and gave him our music selection and he gave us his suggestions. What we loved about Nicky is how easy he was to talk to and if we had any question he was quick to answer them. He has tons of experience and has played for many big names but you wouldn't know that because of his humbleness. If you want a quirky DJ that plays games and just comes to get the job done...this isn't your guy!! But if you are looking for a DJ who really pays attention to detail and goes that extra mile to make sure that your event is everything and more NICKY WOOD is your guy! We are glad to say that not only was our DJ amazing but we have made a life long friend. Everyone at our reception loved him and totally loved his accent, that was a plus!! Thanks Nicky for making our day that much more special! We love you!!

I got *so* many compliments about the great music and DJ we had at our wedding. Vince and I can't thank Nicky enough for helping us really pull this day and event together (esp when I didn't even get to check in with Nicky like I planned before walking down the aisle!!). He made the wedding such a great success. We both can't believe its over and though we thought that we'd be relieved to have the wedding over, we're actually really, really sad that it went by so quickly! Nicky even got my dad to voluntarily (emphasis VOLUNTARILY) get onto the dance floor by the end and I saw him dancing quite happily. Never thought I'd see the day. He's that good, you won't regret having him there as your DJ to keep the day lively, pumping, and just generally awesome. Thanks Nicky!

I had Nicky DJ for my wedding back in July 2010. Obviously music is a really important part of any occasion, but especially a wedding. You want it to be a happy experience not only for yourself, but for the guests as well. Nicky really knows how to make the night unfold, and it very attentive to both his clients, and their company. By the end of the night people had their shoes off, and their party pants on!
Just importantly as the music service, Nicky's customer service and overall personality is outstanding. You can tell this he really loves being a DJ and his attitude is so positive and vibrant.
I fully recommend him for any type of occasion that you and your family might be having. You will be happy.
