I tried "Pilates with Kristan" after being referred by a friend. I was nervous because I am not very flexible and I do not usually do Pilates. I chose the private in-home sessions. Kristan was so professional throughout my entire experience. She came into my home with her own equipment and got right to work. She asked me what my concerns were and what I felt my weaknesses and strengths were. She actually listened and did not come with a pre-planed one-size-fits-all workout. She actually put together a workout that was specifically for me, based on my concerns, strengths, and her own professional assessment of my body! It was a wonderful experience! She moved slowly with me and made sure I understood the movements before moving to the next movement. She has such a great personally and is very personable. I HIGHLY recommend "Pilates with Kristan" to anyone who wants to experience an amazing workout that leaves your body craving more. I Love it!! Thank you Kristan!

Kristan was my private pilates instructor for almost two years, helping me through a couple of injuries and lots of less-than-great habits in the way I held my body. I have never had such a thorough training in how to exercise, strengthen, hold and move my body. She answered all my questions countless times and for that I am grateful because I could not really 'get' everything at once. I now do most of the exercises she taught me, and I know a thing of two about the body mind relationship. I hold Kristan in such a high esteem, for countless reasons: she is kind and knowledgeable, but it was her rigorousness that taught me the most. She kept me motivated and would not let me back away from something that I was afraid of, that I thought I could not do. Only a very special motivationally oriented teacher can do this. Kristan has this and so many other great qualities. If I had not met her and worked with her, I would probably still be in a great deal of pain and discomfort. The amount of stretches and exercises she taught me blew my mind. So, it was not just a matter of rote exercise. She came in each day with a personalized workout for me and my body. No one has ever taken this kind of time with me and for that I will be eternally grateful. Thanks, Kristan!!!!

I love Pilates and as a fully certified Pilates instructor, I am very picky about my trainer, my standards are high. I took Kristan's classes and without a doubt, she is the most knowledgable, competent, passionate and talented trainer in all of California, I know because I have taken Pilates classes with top notch trainers from San Francisco to La Jolla in the past 12 years; whether you are a first time beginner, an advance practitioner, with or without aches and pains, you can be sure of that she has your fitness goals and best interests at heart at all times, each session with her is dynamic, fun and result oriented, her dance background and knowledge of body movements/alignments /anatomy are simply amazing! I feel very fortunate to train under her guidance. I would recommend Kristan to everyone!! Two thumbs way up!!!

I have been going to Kristan for privates for almost a year now. Prior to working with Kristen, I have been to several studios all over Los Angeles and Kristan is simply the most knowledgeable and patient instructor I have worked with so far. I have scoliosis and Kristan has been very helpful in guiding me with my alignment and teaching me how to stretch different part of my body to increase flexibility. She has a strong foundation in anatomical knowledge given her background in dance. So she was my go-to coach whenever I had any tension or muscle pain in my body. Every time before class, she will first ask how your body feels and construct that day’s class accordingly. My body has grown a lot stronger since coming to her class. I highly recommend!
