FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We price based on several factors such as volume, weight, labor and duration. Our volume rate is based off the amount of space taken up in the truck. To give you a clearer picture: Min. Pickup - $175 1/4 truck load - $300 1/2 truck load - $600 3/4 truck load - $900 Full truck load - $1200 Our weight rate is for items that are heavier and condensed such as construction debris. We load the truck to a capacity of about 3000 lbs and we consider this a 'bedload' which is about 2ft high and the entire length of the cargo box(14ft). Some pricing variables: If COI is required for building Stairs or Elevator Are items already packed, bagged, boxed? Material Type: Concrete, Metal, Plastic, Sheetrock, Wood, Brick, Glass, Dirt We will not pick up Biohazardous waste, Full Paint Cans (But will pick up empty), All Propane tanks Do you do moves? We typically do cleanouts, but depending on your job we can see if we can accommodate this request. We do not do Packing & Unpacking services Do you take boilers? Boilers will be picked up if they are empty and cut open. Extra Surcharge for empty but needs to be cut open BBQs? Yes but no propane tank Do you take Cash? No, for the safety of our Field team we do not accept cash. What payment methods do you take? We accept all credit cards Max floors with no elevator? 5 floors Do you bag & box items? Yes, there may be an additional charge What is a COI? Certificate of Insurance We do offer senior citizens discounts, veterans discount, and Frontline service discounts.

We like to speak with the customer to get all details and expectations of the job. We will then send a quote and book services.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Our co-founder grew up in this industry working for his father's junkyard and junk removal company that was founded in the 1960's. In 2009, his father passed away and he decided to take some time away from the business. But, after doing some soul searching, he realized it was time to return but with a new perspective and launched Scrap-It! In 2019. Our co-founder, Orville Davis, brings over 50 years of experience, passed on through his father, to our organization. He intertwines technology, environmental protection, and waste management into one bundle. Orville Davis teamed up with his wife Cynthia Davis who brings life and perspective to this organization. Together as the ideal duo, they tackle waste one job at a time!
