Introduction: Hi! I'm a classically trained SAG-AFTRA actor (BFA Acting, Emerson College) who's been in the film and television business since 1997. I have worked in LA and NY. I currently have a recurring role on Chris Meloni's show Happy! on Netflix and I'm on Season 2 of Only Murders in the Building. I am happiest when I’m teaching. I help students with monologues for college, I coach other tv actors who are auditioning for everything from co-stars and under-fives to guest stars and series regulars, and I teach a class, that focuses on scene study with partners, on-camera auditioning technique, and self tapes. I also teach public speaking-I wrote over 100 speeches for Oratory Laboratory-I can help you find ways to get comfortable and to express yourself-under pressure-in front of people!!! Reach out for a free consultation! We’ll see where you’re at and what you need, and I’ll do anything I can to help. I live in Manhattan, these days I teach and coach mostly on Zoom, but if you are in the area I am available to work in person! Good Luck! Stay Positive!

I came to Jeffrey with no acting experience and plenty of anxiety about being vulnerable in front of others. Immediately, Jeffrey put me at ease by creating an inviting and warm space to get my feet wet into this exciting art form. Over the course of eight weeks, Jeffrey brought me along on a perfect introduction to acting including scene breakdown and preparation, monologues, self-tapes and auditions. His joy for the craft permeated everything we did along the way and was infectious! After taking Jeffrey's workshop, I am completely hooked on acting and feel ready to navigate my path in this new adventure! I cannot recommend Jeffrey's class enough!!!

I had the pleasure of taking Jeffery Emerson's Intro to Acting Workshop. In it Jeffrey introduced many acting techniques, like how to make the most of one line by examining the circumstances of the scene, how to add scope, range and impact to a monologue, and how to actively listen and react to your scene partner. Instead of focusing on one method of acting, Jeffrey gives his students a wide breadth of information, making the class nimble and fun! For those of us just dipping our toe into the world of acting, I found it a welcome, accessible and overall enjoyable experience! Highly recommend!

I've been working with Jeffrey for over a year now and cannot recommend him enough. I've taken his workshop and he's coached me on numerous auditions. Jeffrey has the ability to meet you where you're at with your skill set, helps you find your own voice in a character and scene, and pushes you to try out new things and step outside of your comfort zone. In addition to that, he's incredibly knowledgeable, wonderfully kind and funny as hell, which allows him to create this safe space where you can just be yourself, play, and sharpen your skills. Oh yeah...His script analysis skills are amazing and will help you break down even the most complicated scenes to where it all makes sense. So, yes...I highly, highly recommend working with Jeffrey!

Like I say, I’ve got a BFA in Acting from Emerson where I studied Voice and Shakespeare with modern pioneer Kristen Linklater, RIP. She was the best. 25 years in film and tv, 50+ plays on both coasts, Chicago and Boston. I can help you figure out what you need to do next.
