As an immigrant activist and organizer, I have had the privilege of working with numerous lawyers on various matters that all pertained to advancing immigrants' rights. Like many, I became undocumented years ago due to lawyer malpractice. So I am very wary and take extra precaution when I use a lawyers services. When I met Aygul Charles, we connected over similar values and beliefs. I asked her to represent a number of clients, pro bono in front of immigration. I had the pleasure of working with Aygul two years ago as I began the Dream Act Process. Being able to apply was a dream come true but even better was finding such a qualified and talented lawyer to help and Guide me through the Process. I highly recommend Aygul to anyone seeking representation, or is in need of counsel or other assistance, on immigration related matters.
After an initial consultation, during which Aygul informed me and patiently answered all my questions about all my options to obtain a residence and work permit in the US (Adjustment of Status, EB1a, EB1b, etc.), my partner and I hired Aygul to help us apply for a Green Card through adjustment of status.
Aygul prepared and submitted our application within a very short amount of time. She communicated clearly the documents we had to supply, showing a great understanding of what is required to increase the chances of success of our application. She checked thoroughly the information we supplied and spotted mistakes we had overlooked in preparing our documents. She responded promptly to calls and emails and was able to accommodate our schedules, meeting us after work even at relatively short notice. And on top of all that, she charged a very reasonable price for her services.
I greatly appreciated that she kept us informed about every step of our application, at times supplying scans of documents that explain particular rules and regulations. I like to understand not only what I have to do but also why, in particular when it comes to important, potentially life changing matters, such as a Green Card application.
Aygul responded to my need and explained to me patiently and in great detail the intricacies of the application process that I wanted to know more about. I felt like I was in good hands and consequently, I experienced much less worry and stress than I had anticipated applying for my Green Card through Adjustment of Status.

I am an American citizen working briefly in Saudi Arabia. My wife is not an American and I needed help in bringing back to the states with me as a legal resident. Aygul accepted to handle my case and she quickly contacted the local American Embassy here in Saudia where she was able to get the Embassy staff to accept processing my wife's I-130 petition at the local American Consulate. She completely filled out all the forms needed, and prepared me with what is expected and what documentation & proof is needed. Aygul stayed on top of it and kept constant communications with the American Embassy here and myself. My wife and I are now waiting for our I-130 petition to get processed by the Embassy and soon I will be able to take my foreign wife with me to the states as a legal Permanent Resident. Aygul is amazing and a wonderful and very very kind lawyer. her work as an immigration lawyer literally saved my life. she is the best lawyer a person can have. I highly recommend her in all regards. She did the best thing she could do for me which many lawyers with a lot of experience did not care to do or did not know to do.
