FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on the event date, length of service, guest count, location, and type of bar service requested. Rates reflect professional experience, reliable service, and the care that goes into creating a smooth, enjoyable event. Holiday events are priced at a premium, and larger guest counts may require additional staffing that I will provide. Specialty cocktails, extended service time, and travel outside standard service areas can also affect pricing. Pricing is always communicated clearly upfront. I work best with clients who value great service, clear communication, and a high-quality bar experience. A tip jar is typically available during service and always appreciated.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by learning about your event details, including the date, location, guest count, and bar needs. Once we confirm availability and pricing, I’ll discuss drink preferences, service style, and any special requests to make sure everything aligns with your vision. Leading up to the event, I stay in clear communication and can provide guidance on bar setup, quantities, and staffing if needed. On the day of your event, I arrive prepared and on time, provide efficient and professional service throughout, and help ensure a smooth, enjoyable experience for you and your guests. For larger events or holiday bookings, additional staffing or premium service options may be recommended to maintain high-quality service. I work with a team of experienced bartenders and will have this taken care of for you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over five years of hands-on bartending and bar management experience in high-volume hospitality environments, including private events, hotels, and nightlife settings. This experience has given me strong skills in cocktail creation, efficient service, guest interaction, and event flow management. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a background in communications and arts management, which supports my professionalism, organization, and clear client communication. My training in fast-paced service environments has taught me how to stay calm under pressure, manage large guest counts, and deliver consistent, high-quality service. Through my brand, Aliyah J Sips & Sweets, I’ve also gained experience in menu planning, client coordination, and custom dessert production for events, allowing me to offer a well-rounded, elevated event experience.
