FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, although CEC's are required in order to maintain my current personal training certification by NASM, I like to go above and beyond what I need. Education is extremely important to me and I am always looking for every way to improve my knowledge in order to become a better trainer. The minimum is not enough for me. I seek out mentors and always strive for the best in learning as much as possible. The more knowledge I have, the better. When I stop learning, I feel awful. I like to continue evolving in my profession and will do what I need to get there.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was tired of sitting behind a computer desk and not contributing to the world. I was very unhappy with my job and had no gratification of what I did. I worked very hard but to the benefit of the company. Changing my career to a personal trainer was one of the best decisions in my life as well as a life changing experience.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I'm very versatile. Weight loss is very common, but I also train many brides as well as pre and post natal clients. My male clients are very diverse and range from less than athletic to very athletic. I have also worked with clients with all types of injuries, obese clients and older clients as well.
