I have degrees from both The Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School. I live in New York City
I have taught for nearly 20 years privately and at The Juilliard Pre -College and Columbia University and NYU. I have helped students win entry to The Juilliard School, The Juilliard Pre -College, The Curtis institute of Music, Bard Conservatory, Oberlin Conservatory , Northwestern, Yale School of Music etc . I have given master classes all over the world . I play with the NYPHILHARMONIC and have sustained a very active solo career internationally. I can help you reach your goals as a cellist, whether it be winning a competition, entry to a music school or winning a college scholarship.
I teach from my studio on the upper west side in NYC. I do not teach how to read music. If you do not know how to read music I am not the teacher for you, and you need to find a teacher for beginners.

Wendy is an amazing teacher! She is kind, caring, and extremely supportive. Before our first lesson she spent loads of time with me discussing what to do with my existing cello. Ultimately, I purchased a new cello. She expertly walked me through that process. Sharing her professional contacts and going so far as to try cellos and bows out for me. She is a joy to work with as well as a consummate musician. Just check out her website and listen for yourself.

Def. a 5 stars teacher. Patient, Professional, Fun, and Motivated. Very easy to communicate with. Despite her world-class experiences, she treats young students as her own. She Won't be perfunctory because of being young or a beginner student. She has done a wonderful job doing virtual lessons for distanced students (or because of the pandemics). Clear instructions, focused, and fun is the best description of her lessons. truly appreciated.
