I was trained as a Chess instructor by the Chess-in-the-Schools organization in 1995. I currently volunteer and teach children chess at the Larchmont Library. I’ve been a member of thumbtack providing my services since 2016. In regards to basic computer repair I consider it more of a humanitarian mission than a service. Helping computer users in need is my motto. Day or night. Note: I am not able to serve NJ at this time. My transportation is limited to NYC subway and bus service for now.

Elvis is a terrific chess instructor. His puzzles help develop the ability to see several moves ahead. He arrives with notes on what he wants to cover that day. Asks me to consult my notebook so we can review the things I learned in previous lessons. After three lessons, when I played with my husband, he commented on my Increased confidence, already. Elvis makes it clear that I can become a good chess player and I enjoy his company on the journey

Elvis is very smart, intuitive and supportive. He is teaching my son Chess and it has been a wonderful experience. My son looks forward to each session and his game has greatly improved.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I dedicate all my time and effort to satisfy the customer's current problem. I am courteous and patient and I try to explain the problem and solution in plain English without techno babble.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started one career as a Help Desk and Tech support analyst. Although I currently pursuing a career in teaching in chess, my interests remained the same and I keep up with the latest technology.
