Introduction: My name is Al The DJ I am a professional DJ with over 10 years in the music industry and over 350 plus weddings under my belt. I attended Scratch Academy founded by the legendary DJ Jam Master Jay of the iconic Run DMC. As a professional DJ and music producer I have worked with many mainstream artists and companies such as Nick Cannon, Akon, 50 cent, Backstreet Boys, Ashanti, Day 26, Def Jam records, BET, MTV and more. As a music producer as well I have a vast knowledge of music theory and multi genres ranging from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Hip Hop, R&B, Dancehall, Reggae, Latin and today's Top 40. My Hospitality degree plus my musical talent equal a stress free, fun and successful event for all my customers. Had my wedding this past weekend and Al was great from the start on contact. His pricing is VERY reasonable especially for the services he provides. He was on time, handled the ceremony music perfectly, and although we were very easy with the music we asked for, he was great at creating a playlist for our type of guests, which I had explained from the start that we weren’t super clubby/theatrical, more reserved. I loved that his DJ letup included a LED LOVE sign, it was the perfect touch to our outdoor, midday reception. I already referred him to a friend who is on a DJ hunt. I would definitely hire Al again for future events.

Me and my wife hired Al Boogs to DJ our wedding and it was an amazing day from beginning to end. Al Boogs arrived early for set up and he was on point with all of our ceremony details. The reception was nothing but lit!!! DJ Al Boogs played the right selection of music which kept everyone on the dance floor. Al is a great DJ! We immediately vibed with him during our first meeting, leading us to book him for our wedding. He understood what music we were into (90s, 2000s and top hits), and nailed it during the event. He definitely kept everyone on their feet. He even helped us with our first dance mix. A great working experience right from the start. After receiving a quote for our wedding reception and accepting, I received the contract, made down payment, then received a document that detailed everything from start to finish of the event as an outline. We were able to suggest specific songs (small playlist order) to timing/scheduling of music with the reception events. His music selection got the guests off their chairs and dancing. It was a struggle to find a DJ when i first started looking through google searches, and I remembered hearing about Thumbtack. I definitely recommend Al for his musicality, his professionalism, and his charisma.
