- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?My pricing is dictated by the radius, relative to my base location or that of my walkers as it pertains to exercise services. Boarding, daycare, transportation and long distance runs come at fixed rates. Discounts are applied for multiple request per day, number of referrals received or weekly packages.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I initiate a formal meet and greet, to discuss what the customer is looking for, pricing parameters and scheduling. I proceed with a trial week, to get a feel and familiarity for the pup. I report back to the customer on my assessment, and if the customer is satisfied, I slot the pup into his or her appropriate time, and get the walking party started.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I took veterinary technician courses at Hunter College, along with working experience, at multiple dog daycares, as a head handler. As I transitioned into dog walking, I was able to learn about the variations of harnesses and leashes, breed classifications, and the form of exercise that best suits their needs.
