- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Basic description of ⭐ONE HOUR⭐ Usui Reiki session PREP FOR YOUR SESSION: There will be a 5-10 minute assessment focusing on any physical, mental, emotional, & spiritual problems you would like to dissolve in your life. During this brief consultation I will get to know you a little better. Then we will talk about your intention/expectations with reiki. I can also answer any further questions you may have. ACTIVE REIKI HEALING TREATMENT: While you lay rested on a padded table, your healing session will feel very much like a gradual releasing of unnecessary tension as you enter a deeply meditative or trance-like state. During your treatment I will place my hands non-invasively in a specific sequence & pattern over your body. My hands will likely become hot, but not uncomfortably so. You may also experience some light tingling or twitching in the areas where my hands are positioned. AFTER YOUR SESSION: I devote 5-10 minutes where you may talk about any feelings, emotions, sensations, & images that came up for you during the session. As well, I may dedicate a little time if you would like counsel on building tools/goals to help conquer additional blocks, & further integrate wellness practices in your daily life to reinforce your healing journey. ALL SESSIONS INCLUDE FOR FREE: Aromatherapy: Custom made blends aiding Chakra balancing & calming of the nervous system from a selection of 35 Essential Oils. Chakra Gemstone Healing: Targeted Chi healing & re-alignment utilizing a selection of over 50 crystals & stones. Sound Therapy: Ambient OR Binaural Beat to gently soothe the mind into a deeply relaxed & trance-like state. PERSONALIZED ADD ONS: Customized to each client’s needs and goals, take your session to the next level of healing with these add on offerings… Personalized Guided Meditation: To relax the conscious mind & focus healing intentions. Holistic Counseling: Take home wellness recommendations specific to the 7 Chakras, including: Music, food, yoga poses, meditation mantras with visualizations, & affirmations. Breath work: Wim Hof Method OR gentle deep breathing exercises to induce natural blood flow & muscle relaxation. *AVAIL UPON REQUEST FOR ALL SESSIONS: For added comfort the following can be provided: eye mask, ear plugs, knee pillow & hypo-allergenic pillow.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a licensed Usui Reiki Master Healer and Teacher my certification lineage is directly linked to Dr. Mikao Usui (the founder of reiki). I am unique as a Reiki Master, as in addition to my life-long study of a diverse array of holistic techniques including chakra healing, aromatherapy, and meditation, I have credentials in science, health, and elite athletics. In supplementation to my Reiki Master Certification, my background includes an education in Molecular Biology/Pre-Med (Indiana University), a seasoned career as a professional ballerina, and being a scholarship participant for Harkness Center for Dance Injuries’ (NYU Langone) “Healthy Dancer Initiative” professional development program. I have also received private training in the Gyrotonics Method, Bio-Feedback, Myofascial Release techniques, Plyometrics, and attended a course in the Wim Hof Method.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My interest and respect for ancient holistic healing arts and reiki energy healing began early. I was fortunate enough to grow up with a mother who was a Triple Reiki Master Teacher/Healer. Through her, I saw a practice which was aimed to bring balance, harmony, and peace into the lives of all who sought it. After a childhood of continually benefiting from my mother’s healing abilities, I was driven to become a practitioner as an adult. So, in 2016 I achieved my certification to become a 2nd generation Licensed Reiki Master Teacher/Healer (LRMT), with a direct Master/Teacher Lineage to the founder of reiki, Dr. Mikao Usui.
