FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not list pricing per hour because I have a sliding scale for people depending on their income and the frequency of their sessions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, of course! I attend seminars, workshops, conferences. I also teach at different institutes --- The course I teach is a Continuous Case Seminar where I teach people who are students in my field to integrate theory and technique. As such, I am always keeping up with what is going on in my field. I also do individual supervision of students in the field. Students present process recording once per week of their cases.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I think it is very important for someone seeking therapy to find out what training the person has and what national and international organizations the therapist is a member of. For example, I have 17 years of post bachelor's degree education in the mental health field. There are many, many therapists practicing with only two years of post bachelor's education. Many patients I have seen have come to me after having been in therapy with therapists with such limited education where nothing ever changed for them until they were in treatment with me or for other patients who were in treatment with therapists with my kind of advanced education.
