When our party bus for my granddaughter's quinceanera canceled last minute, I wasn't sure what we were going to do. I came to Thumbtack and got multiple quotes from different companies. Empire was very responsive and provided a quote and options for a party of our size. Communication was excellent throughout the whole process. Carlos our driver, arrived 20 minutes before our scheduled start time which definitely put me at ease. he had a car full of 15 year olds and he had good communication with the parents throughout the process and definitely had the patience to deal with a group of 10 teenagers LOL I highly recommend. the vehicle we were promised is what was delivered, the service was on time and communication was great!

Extremely Disappointing and Misleading Business Practices – Empire Worldwide Limousine
My experience with Empire Worldwide Limousine was extremely disappointing. When I initially booked their services, I was quoted a specific price and required to submit a deposit to secure the reservation. After making the deposit, I requested a receipt and confirmation of the agreed-upon price on two separate occasions. Despite my repeated requests, neither was provided.
To make matters worse, just two days before my scheduled event, I finally received a contract reflecting a price that was approximately $300 higher than the original quote.
In my opinion, this appears to be a deliberate business practice designed to put customers in a difficult position by waiting until the last minute, when they have already paid a deposit and have limited alternatives, before introducing additional charges. Unfortunately, I felt I had no reasonable choice but to pay the increased amount to avoid disrupting my scheduled event.
This experience raises serious concerns about transparency, pricing practices, and basic consumer protection. Customers should receive a written contract and a complete breakdown of all charges before being asked to make a deposit, not days before an event when they have little opportunity to make other arrangements.
I will never recommend or hire Empire Worldwide Limousine again.
I also believe Thumbtack has a responsibility to ensure that businesses advertising through its platform follow transparent pricing practices and that customers are made aware of the importance of receiving written quotes and contracts. All pricing and disclosure practices should comply with applicable New York State consumer protection laws.
My recommendation: Think twice before booking with this company.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this company.
I canceled my reservation within three hours of booking, yet my deposit was not refunded. At no point during the booking process was I informed that the deposit was non-refundable, and I never signed a contract acknowledging such a policy. The first and only indication that the deposit was non-refundable appeared in the receipt email, where it was disclosed in very small print at the bottom.
After contacting the company, I was told that the $475 deposit would not be refunded. I then sent three additional emails over the following week in an effort to resolve the matter, but none of them received a response.
Believing the issue was being addressed, I disputed the charge with my credit card company. However, to my surprise, I was charged an additional $475 approximately 20 days after the cancellation—on the eve of the original service date—even though the service was never provided.
I am now disputing this charge as well.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. The lack of transparency regarding the deposit policy, the failure to respond to multiple attempts at communication, and the additional charge for services never rendered raise serious concerns about their business practices. I have documentation and receipts to support every statement made in this review.
