*Please no requests for beauty makeup or children's face painting. I am offering services for special FX makeup for Halloween only. Thank you! :) I specialize in gore and special FX makeup services for Halloween - the bloodier and more gruesome, the better!!! Bring me your dreams of bruises, scars, gaping wounds, gunshots, stabbings and zombie faces and I'll make them come true - with makeup... I won't hurt you, promise. I am a little bit old school sticking with the traditional latex and face/body paints as my preferred method, so no airbrush makeup. Also, I like to make your overall look cohesive (e.g. zombie makeup includes hands/visible skin areas, teeth rot, bloodied and dirtied clothing) for the best dramatic effect. I want you to have THE BEST costume out there!! I will be available Thursday and Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday given that Halloween events will be in full swing ahead of Halloween Monday. I can also be available on Halloween itself if there is demand - do people still party on Mondays? This is NYC, so I'm guessing yes... I love seeing the reaction of my clients when they see what I've done to them and hearing of the reactions they got on their Halloween night. This was my first experience using thumbtack, and boy I got a gem. Melanie was hired to create a unique look for a frankenstein character I was playing in a 1 act festival competition. Mel was professional in all areas. Clear line of communication always available. In addition to doing the makeup she was given artistic control over making a basic black blazer into frankensteins mojo - coat. It also is necessary to mention that we were on a tight schedule, which she handled with fluidity. I can assure u this is the first of many jobs utilizing her creativity and and passion. Can't go wrong with this mighty one from down under

Melanie is AMAZING! She helped me to achieve the PERFECT skeleton face makeup. I've seen many attempts at this Halloween face and with that I've seen many failures, but that was not the case with Melanie on my side. Being fair skinned with very blonde hair I was a bit concerned a full face of makeup would be overwhelming but with Melanie's artistic hand my makeup was the talk of the night, even won be a free bar tab! Her ability to understand exactly what her client is looking for is unparalleled. She is extremely professional and provides a fantastic end product. I cannot praise her work enough! Melanie will be my makeup guru again this coming Halloween and has even helped me to decide on my look this year, a face full of Pop Art! Thanks again Melanie, you're the BEST!

Outstanding truly. Melanie is amazing and the makeup was fantastic. Got complimented all night on how fantastic the makeup was (halloween). It was my first time trying this and i do not regret it at all. I feel like I ripped her off because the service way surpassed the fee i paid for this. You should not hesitate to book through her, it was really a sensational job.
