Maik is a fantastic athlete and a coach. He knows the science as well as the practice. He explains every movement, teaches how it impacts your muscles and shows you how to train right. Even in one session i learned so many things that i have been doing wrong. Maik also maintains a perfect balance between a rigorous coach who pushes you for results while maintaining his warm welcoming personality. There are personal trainers that do the job simply to fill time in between their "other" job. This is not the case with Maik and his team. Their entire life is dedicated to health and fitness. They specialize workouts for you and push you to your limits with no judgements or egos getting in their way. Maik and Amaker are at the top of the game in personal training- they train using the latest evidence in exercise and nutrition and are highly motivational. Every single workout has been customized, so I've seen results much quicker than I have with other trainers or gym classes (e.g., cross fit, boot camp). The support received on off training days (e.g., check-ins while I was travelling with work) has greatly helped me to stay on track. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?We charge per session, this includes the gym fee, workouts for the days you can not be here, diet plan and access to our software.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?At first , we do a physical screen to make sure your body is functioning at optimal levels. If it is not, we ll tend to those issues first since they will cause problems down the road. Then we ll develop a program that works for you. Simultaneously, we work on the mental side. What is your motivation? Why are you here? What is that YOU want? How can I help you achieve it?
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I write for fitness magazines such as FitnessRX and Muscle & Fitness, and teach undergraduate classes at New York University, it is crucial that I stay up to date on the latest developments in the fitness industry.
