About
"If you knew you wouldn't fail, what would you try?" This has been the mantra that Heidi has subscribed to during her athletic life, and it has served her well through running track and cross country at a Division 1 College and through more than 20 marathons post college. Now, she is a Level 1 CrossFit and CrossFit Endurance coach at CrossFit NYC, in addition to a spin instructor in NYC. Heidi holds three CrossFit Endurance classes a day, where her athletes run sprints from 50 meters to one mile and beyond. She also trains athletes on a one-on-one setting that focuses on functional strength training and body weight movements. She trains CrossFitters and non-CrossFitters alike who want to be stronger, fitter and faster. Heidi also teaches the POSE method of running and trains people who have never taken a single running step in their life to 12 weeks later, completing their first-half marathon. Heidi also trains marathoners who have never run the distance to runners who are trying to qualify for the Boston Marathon. If you are looking for a fitter 'you' in a completely inspirational and motivational setting, then you have come to the right person. She trains hard and expects the same from her clients, but they always leave with a smile and a big hug from one of the best motivators in the fitness industry. Heidi doesn't just talk the talk. She just competed in her first ever CrossFit competition and placed second overall. So, if you want it all: motivation, inspiration and tough love, this is the trainer for you.

Training with Coach Heidi is defined by three words: dedication, inspiration and realization. Dedication: Coach Heidi trains at the earliest hour of the day, rain or shine, hot or cold. Show up with a willing to run and she will take care of you because she is committed to running and runners. Inspiration: Coach Heidi breaks down the science of running to fit the needs of each individual runner. She is not sitting down on a bench, shouting out instructions, she runs with you, she gives you feedback right away, and she encourages you, regardless of your running skills. Realization: Training with Coach Heidi works. You want to become faster; you will. You want more endurance; you will achieve it. You want more strength; you will get it. Coach Heidi brings out the best in her athletes; and when she competes, she is the greatest of all of us because this is how she embodies elite training and outstanding coaching.

Heidi is hands down the most incredible trainer I've ever had. Not only does she have very thorough knowledge and expertise in a diversity of sports -- from running and cycling/spin to TRX and CrossFit, and more -- she has such a warm and inspiring presence and spirit that just makes me look forward to training with her, as painful as her sessions may be! I am not a morning person in the least and cannot stand to wake up when it's still dark out, but I will drag my cranky ass out of bed before sunrise at least 2-3 times a week and commute 30+ minutes from BK to get a predictably very hard workout in with Heidi. On these early mornings, I reserve my first human interaction for Heidi, because she has a magical way of melting away my zombie-like daze and motivating me to strive for my best. Hapless individuals who try to speak to me before I get to Heidi will find me a miserable human being. Her energy and stores of encouragement are endless, and I cannot thank her enough for pushing me, inspiring me, and instilling in me a sense of confidence in myself and abilities that has been lacking for too long. If you are looking for a new trainer, please do yourself a favor and bring Heidi into your life.

Heidi Jones is the definition of a perfect trainer and I am pretty sure you will not find a trainer more motivating, energized and inspiring than her. She has great knowledge and experience in what she does and she has definitely helped me to become a better runner. Today I finished my first half marathon and she has definitely helped me reach that goal! What makes Heidi`s training unique is the way she gives personal attention and feedback to everyone regardless of the size of the group and how she manage to motivate us to perform a little bit better every time. So if you want to get into better shape and have fun at the same time, do yourself a favor and sign up for her work out. You will not regret it. I even participated in her running class in the pouring rain and that´s pretty much speaks for itself (Video as proof) ☺ Regardless of your running skills you will love running with Heidi and you will always leave her class with a smile on your face. At least I always do! Cecilie W.

Heidi was my Crossfit Endurance coach for a few months. During my time with her, she was very encouraging, inspirational, trustworthy, friendly, kind, and full of useful advice. When I started training with HJ, I was convinced that I would be the worst, and improve only at a caterpillar's pace (I was never very good at running). Little did I know that under Heidi's guidance, I would not only excel, but thoroughly enjoy my two hours a week with her! I think anyone and everyone interested in athletics, should jump at the opportunity to work with Heidi.
