My goal as a photographer is to capture the moments that speak volumes. Growing up always taking photos, I decided to minor in photography in college and now I am building a darkroom in my little Harlem studio; so for me, photography has always been a part of my life and has always shaped how I see the world. I find myself always framing an imaginary shot or thinking out loud, wow that would be a beautiful photo. I believe my service stands out because I am very down to earth and I like to make people feel comfortable. I really love that this career introduces me to new people around the city because I think we all have such interesting stories to tell. I tend to frame shots that are romantic and artistically allow the subjects' personalities come through. Do you remember those yearbook photos you took in grade school with the laser background and the goofy pose with your hand in a fist against your face as if you were punching yourself for looking so 90s? I dressed up like that for Halloween.I am all about being cheesy when I am goofing around, but I really cannot stand photos that look super staged and overly hokey. For me, I love to give a little direction with posing or placement, but really, it's my job to get the good shot and it's yours to have fun! I want you to look at the photos we take together and smile because you remember what was making you laugh in that shot. I want you to feel special and see your personality in the photos I take. People always tell me that they are not photogenic or don't like how they look in pictures, but I think that when a person is able to relax and be oneself, it becomes so simple to capture those genuine moments when one's emotions are right at the surface. This is what I love most about photography: capturing the beauty of our complex realities.
