FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I became interested in Buddhism and psychotherapy when I was 20 years old as a way to heal my own childhood wounds, cope with stress and anxiety, and as an alternative to consumerist culture. The single most identifiable starting point in my career came in 1995 after reading "Thoughts without a Thinker" by Dr. Mark Epstein, as it revealed the possibility of being a Buddhist psychotherapist.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ensure that the therapist you are working with is or has been in therapy themselves. Above all work with someone who possesses the qualities you wish to establish in your own life.
